US Graduate Recruitment Drive

German bank invites 45 graduates from top US business schools for a trading weekend.

Course Design

A network of 50 Risk Manager Trading Simulation™ workstations plus telephones transforms the ballroom of a Boston hotel into an integrated dealing room comprising sales, trading and risk management functions covering the whole spectrum of FX, treasury and capital markets products.
During the trading sessions Bank officials, role-playing as clients or dealing room managers, assess the candidates' suitability. The event culminates in a short-list of 15 graduates who are offered firm positions with the Bank.
Clients were able to see prospective job applicants in action and obtain an objective assessment of their performance, in a way not possible with conventional interviewing.

International Bank Installs Simulated Trading Room

Treasury trainees traditionally acquire market skills by working next to experienced traders, but this method is time-consuming and can be costly - bad habits as well as good ones are passed on from one generation to the next.
Now trainees develop their practical dealing skills by attending programmes of workshops organised by in-house trainers in a simulated dealing room at the bank's UK training centre.
Based on the Risk Manager Trading Simulation™, the facility allows trainers to develop and assess delegates' practical skills in a realistic but safe environment.
